The Sienna Parks & Levee Improvement District (SPLID) is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan. This plan outlines local policies and actions to reduce risks and future losses from natural hazards. Updating the plan every five years is required for the
District to remain eligible for certain federal funding opportunities related to hazard mitigation.

SPLID works with multiple local governmental stakeholders on this process, but public input is an important part of the update. Community feedback is welcome on:

  • Identifying natural hazards
  • Setting mitigation goals
  • Developing strategies and possible actions

How to Participate:

  1. Review the Draft Plan: SPLID Hazard Mitigation Plan Update – PDF
  2. Complete the Public Survey: SPLID HMP Update – Public Survey (The survey period has now closed.)
  3. Virtually attend the September 3, 2025 Levee and Parks Board Meeting

Your participation will help strengthen the District’s ability to prepare for and respond to natural hazards. SPLID appreciates the time and input of all community members and partners in this important effort.
